I developed a web app for a game called hunger crunch. The game can currently be found at the Hunger Crunch website, or on the iOS App Store. The app is scheduled to get a test run with about 700 users in September of 2014, after which it will go live for regular use.

The team I worked with was given designs to help us stay in line with the existing site's styles, and we used parse.com to manage our data, so all the information displayed is live and dynamic.

The purpose of the app is to give youth group leaders and teachers a way of managing tournament scores based on the incoming player data in the game, as well as a way to manage what players were in which groups in order to have competitions betweens grades or small groups.

The languages used were HTML, CSS (scss), and JavaScript, and were supported by jQuery, Underscore, and Parse (a backbone derivative). List.js was used to manage list filtering, and pickadate.js was used for interactive calendars to choose start and end dates for the tournaments. Modernizer and sass were also used.

Michelin hired me to work with their incubator team to help build a new product called myMechanic, which was basically open table but for mechanic shops, so that people could easily schedule car repairs, and so the shops could manage their appointments internally

The admin page the majority of my responsibility outside of the mobile app, and it tracked the payment standing of the shops, and gave the non developers on the team the ability to disable and enable shops easily for use violations or payment issues. For the charts I used OOcharts.js which interprets google analytics and I thought looked more in line with our app than the standard google charts.

I built reusable components that are shared across all digital sales sites while the bank transitioned from JSP pages to a responsive Front End. Things like focus management utilities for screen readers, input validation and formatting that actually works properly with android keyboards, a reusable template library that made rapid page deployment much easier, and updates to accordions, headers, navigation, messaging, and more. There is a massive amount of code for all the product lines, and some of what I did shows up on all all of them

The small business application was one of the first responsive rebuilds of a customer application. I was the architect for how we brought state management into these application flows. When I started at the bank I was on the deposits team, so most checking and savings account pages came across my desk.

For this application flow, I utilized redux for our state management as the user moves through the application process. The length of the application steps and the content of each step is dynamic content based on previous selections, which necessitated a robust state management library.

The research (non application) pages were largely what I worked on before I moved over to macro level work on shared components.

The work I have done has made it on to nearly every responsive product page, and the effort to convert legacy pages into the new responsive format is ongoing. It's pretty rad knowing that a few million people have interacted with things that you made.

• Live Site

The explore products and rates project was the first project at ally using React or AWS Lambda. I was the tech lead for the project, and the components were built as widgets that could be loaded into the legacy web application or the native application.

The data for current rates and product reviews were loaded in dynamically on interactions, so only certain parts of the page were re-rendered based on the props diff when mobx alerted it's listeners

In addition to loading in the web application, it is also loaded into the iOS and Android native applications with style and content differences

There are product overview and product detail pages which also have dynamic rendering for the data

I had some really interesting challenges with the routing, and with preloading and lazy loading certain components and assets. It ended up being an extremely successful project, both in terms of progressing ally's tech presence and in terms of ROI

Oplan (operations plan) was a specialty inventory management system tailored to specific customer's needs, which integrated with bluetooth barcode scanners an had a persisted database using Parse.com, which has since been bought by Facebook but it was a relational database behind a javascript developer friendly API.

This is the customer page, where you can add new customers or search for an existing one and start an order.

This is an example invoice, and can either be printed or saved as a pdf. The output looks different from the page as to be in line with the invoice forms the shop is accustomed to.
